More great news is coming from Beyond Meat. On May 9th, Beyond Meat, the brilliant minds behind plant-based meat alternatives announced that it would be expanding their reach on a global scale this summer.
Beyond Meat first introduced their chicken alternatives to select locations in 2012 and have since grown to offer 11 meat-free options found in more than 27,000 restaurant and grocery stores. Reporting high numbers in 2017, Beyond Meat is set to begin expansion in over 50 countries including Canada, Israel, South Africa, Europe, and Australia.
In a statement from Founder and CEO Ethan Brown, “Reflecting rapid demand growth in the United States and sustained interest from international markets, we’ve taken steps to significantly increase our production capacity.”
